Day 34: Frame Started
Passed by the house on my way home this afternoon & they started working on the frame, will take some photos tomorrow if there's still light, weather permitting.
Hi Michael, what they normally do is to check where your driveway is & build the garage on that side. They'll just flip it in their computer. However, if you don't want to flip it, they'll still be able to do it but you'll have to do a new cross over. For us, we don't have a choice because our block is a corner block, so we have to flip the floor plan, which works well for us because the living area is facing north & will get plenty of sunlight.
That is the same reason we want to flip it - also our souther neighbour has their driveway on the northern side of the block - that way we also don't cause problems with light into their property.
We live close, just over near Forest Hill Chase, and have also chosen the Camberwell 29 to replace our exising 1960's small house.
ReplyDeleteWe have not signed up yet (still talking to bank)but are fairly certain it will be this house 9as it fits on our 15.2m block and most others need 16m.
