Day 98: 3 Months Maintenance

Had the 3 months maintenance done. Nothing major & nothing that can't be easily fixed:-

The bifold door doesn't latch properly, i.e. we cannot close it without using the dead bolt. They'll get someone to come in & adjust the bifold door to fix this.

The handle for the bifold door is tarnished. They'll replace this with a new one.

Ensuite toilet, the flush doesn't hold. They'll get the plumber to have a look.

Leak from the sink in the bathroom. They'll get the plumber to have a look as well, I think they just didn't seal it properly.

Floorboard is a bit rough on one of the surface in the living room, not sure what they'll do with this but they'll get trueloc to have a look.

Overall, we've been happy with the house & haven't had any problem with it at all.

  1. Good to know that there were no major problems. Did you find out whether New Home Care exists or is that a myth?

  2. I believe they have separate people handling the maintenance etc, I guess this is what they call New Home Care? Still waiting for a phone call from them to let me know what they'll do with those few problems.

    My colleague who has been in her house for over a year now, has been dealing with the maintenance people for the 3 month & 1 year maintenance.

    Just make sure you fill in the form they give you in the folder during/before the handover.
